Put CampusScoop on your home screen
It's the same website, with its own icon. It opens full screen, like an app. There's no app store and no account to make.
You're already using the installed app. Nothing else to do.
iPhone or iPad, in Safari
- Open campus-scoop.pages.dev in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up). On iPhone it's at the bottom of the screen; on iPad it's at the top.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If you don't see it, tap Edit Actions at the bottom of the list and add it.
- Tap Add. The CampusScoop icon appears on your home screen.
iPhone, in Chrome
On recent versions of iOS, Chrome can do this too:
- Tap the Share button in the address bar.
- Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Don't see it? Your iOS or Chrome may be too old. Use Safari instead.
Android, in Chrome
- Open campus-scoop.pages.dev in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ menu (three dots, top right).
- Tap Install app. On some phones it says Add to Home screen instead.
- Tap Install to confirm.
Chrome may also show an "Install app" button on this page or at the bottom of other pages. It does the same thing.
Good to know
- You need a connection to read new scoops or post one. Offline, you can still open pages you've already visited and search the list of places.
- It updates itself. There's nothing to download when we change the site.
- Posting works the same way as on the website: a Tulane email address, a quick spam check, and a person reads every scoop before it goes up.
- To remove it, press and hold the icon and choose Remove App (iPhone) or Uninstall (Android).
